At the Three Sides to Every Story event in London, Filix’s Marko Jurman presented Tria, a new lighting system designed by Dean Skira and developed by Filix.

Through his Pecha Kucha presentation, Marko explained how Tria brings a simpler, more unified approach to outdoor and landscape lighting by connecting design, engineering, and functionality in one system.

A new way to think about outdoor lighting

Landscape projects often involve dozens of luminaires, long cabling routes, and complex planning. Each additional fixture adds cost, coordination, and maintenance.

Tria was created as a response to those challenges.

The concept brings together multiple lighting needs within a single structure. Instead of installing separate systems for projection, pathway, and feature lighting, Tria allows everything to connect through one modular pole. This approach makes design and installation easier and more consistent across large spaces.

A system that evolves with its surroundings

Tria is a system that adapts to the environment. Each pole can combine lighting, communication, and connectivity, giving designers flexibility to plan spaces that change and grow over time.

From residential gardens to large public areas, Tria provides a clear structure that stays organized while offering many options for customization.

The product family includes Tria S, M, and L, with heights ranging from 0.5 to 8 meters.

Each version supports Filix lighting elements such as Trion projectors and Trifix pathway lights, with additional models like Trist and Trace expanding the possibilities for future applications.

At the core of the system is Quick Connect, Filix’s IP66-rated outdoor light track that allows simple installation, easy adjustments on-site, and quick servicing when needed.

Designed for connection

Tria also integrates options for banners, signage, and sensors, creating opportunities for projects that connect light with data and communication.

It represents a step forward in how lighting systems are planned and maintained, offering flexibility, durability, and long-term efficiency for designers and clients alike.

Marko summarized the concept clearly:

“Bottom line, Tria is about simplifying the process — allowing designers to recreate complex outdoor scenes through a single post.”
